Veteran Georgian designer Tamuna Ingorokva typically centers her collection around masculine cuts, a design philosophy that she has long believed “channels a strong female energy.” She took the idea one step further and ventured into tailoring this season. Her cool reinterpretation of the three-piece suit had a boxy fit. The royal blue version was coolly offset by a tight-fitting button-down vest. For an extra oomph of sex appeal, it was worn with nothing underneath. One smart and more abstract take on suiting came in the form of a cropped light wash denim jacket, teeny vest, and miniskirt. Speaking of denim, the textile has replaced much of the designer’s emphasis on leather. While many of the leather jumpsuits from previous seasons have been snapped up by supermodels, the denim pieces will be more attainable. It was easy to imagine an oversize gray denim jacket and well-fitting jeans on runway types and the everyday women.
