Photo by Andrea Delbò A book called "I Married Adventure" chronicling author Osa Johnson's expeditions with her photographer husband through exotic locales in the 1910s and 20s put Charlotte Dellal in the mood to travel through the bygone British colonial era for her spring Charlotte Olympia line. Her witty allusions to the exotic included shoes and bags in watercolor map prints; an orb of a bag that looked like an old-fashioned globe, and sandals with patches in the shape and print of zebras and wildcats, almost as if a mini animal-hide rug had been attached to the shoe. Even more wild were the platforms and wedges with curlicue rattan heels, like porch furniture for your feet. | 716749

Photo by Davide_Maestri At Giannico, designer Nicolò Beretta had Cannes and Los Angeles top of mind. White and yellow stripes reminiscent of the Hotel Martinez at the luxury resort on the French Riviera embellished his dainty feminine pumps, contrasting with the floral banana leaf pattern harking to the Beverly Hills Hotel wallpaper. Giannico's staple stylized lipstick mouth continued to pepper the collection, together with flowers that screamed Esther Williams 1950s swim caps. It made for a fun and summery, yet elegant lineup. | 716750

Photo by Giulio Di Mauro Angelo Ruggeri at Sergio Rossi explored a disco, Studio 54 theme with his sexy gold and black sandals showing a delicately woven heel, but he also indulged in a more romantic mood with exquisite wooden platforms carved with flower tendrils and multicolored leather braids on the vamp. The designer also raised the craftsmanship bar with intricately embroidered laced pumps with an espadrille sole. | 716751
