Kendall Jenner Joins 'Forbes' Ranking of the World's Highest-Paid Models Despite retiring from the runway in April, Gisele Bündchen still came out on top. Photo: Antonio de Moraes Barros Filho/FilmMagic Now that New York Fashion Week's spring 2016 season has come to an end, I'll admit I am a bit surprised that Kendall Jenner walked in no more than three runway shows, albeit significant ones. But with more catwalk appearances to come in Europe and three big-league contracts — Estée Lauder, Fendi and Calvin Klein — Jenner, 19, is in a position to bring home the figurative bacon without doing a million shows. Need proof? The reality star-turned-model has just made her first appearance on Forbes's 2015 ranking of the world's highest-paid models, as number 16. With a reported $4 million in pre-tax earnings, Jenner beat out commercial powerhouses like Hilary Rhoda, Kate Upton and Jourdan Dunn (all $3.5 million) to sneak into the top 20. Jenner, of course, is in great company, sitting just behind colleagues like Daria Werbowy, Liu Wen and the great Kate Moss (all $4.5 million). But no one comes remotely close to Gisele Bündchen, who, despite retiring from the runway in April, outearned the rest of the industry with $44 million this year alone. While this number is slightly less than the $47 million she reportedly received in 2014, it's still tens of millions more than her competitors. Adriana Lima and, interestingly, Cara Delevingne are tied in second place with $9 million, the latter of whom only joined Forbes's ranking last year with $3.5 million. Perhaps the power move for models these days is to decrease the quantity of gigs and focus solely on a few that pay the most — in Bündchen, Delevingne and Lima's cases, that's Under Armour, Mango and Victoria's Secret, respectively.
